Lazy Breakfast: Egg and Cheese Toast

I’m on break from university right now. Which means that I’m generally home, which means that I’m cooking meals for myself more often than not. Now, when I cook for myself I like to make things that are different, things I won’t get bored of, but also things that don’t take too much time to make. So, in the spirit of lazy cooking, here’s an easy-to-make but delicious egg and cheese toast I made for myself this morning.

You’ll literally need 3 ingredients – Bread, Eggs, and Cheese

Step 1:

Take a slice of bread and use a spoon to push down around the center of the bread, creating a circular dug-out area, like so –

Step 2:

Crack an egg in the hole. It should look somewhat like this –

Step 3:

Cover it with cheese, as much as your heart desires. Clearly, my heart desired a lot of it…

Step 4:

Place it on a tray and put it in a pre-heated oven for 8-10 minutes. Here’s what mine looked like after 8 minutes in the oven (note: my egg was still runny, so if you like runny yolk 8 minutes is good, leave it longer if you want the yolk solidified) –

Aaand that’s it! It really is as simple as it sounds, trust me! It’s honestly a perfect breakfast for a lazy student like myself.

Well, that’s all for now!

Cheers,
Zee

    1. Hey! Thank you so much, I must admit that as uni got tough I stopped uploading, but I’m hoping to find the time to start up again! Glad you like it, really appreciate the love x 🙂
